Bling Digital is a thriving production service company specializing in video assist, on-set data management and digital dailies solutions for RED ONE camera productions.

CHALLENGE

Working on a spy drama for USA Network, among various other projects, Bling Digital faces tight deadlines every day in preparing a few hundred gigabytes of daily footage for review by studio executives and post-production editors.  While mystery and suspense is part of any good spy drama, the company sought a fast, robust and cost-effective storage system with little to no intrigue that it could dedicate exclusively to work on the show.

SOLUTION

Armed with a 24 TB Small Tree GraniteSTOR ST-RAID Ethernet-based shared storage system, PEG6 multi-port Gigabit card and Small Tree’s SLVR Support Service, Bling Digital had the weapons it needed to successfully complete each mission for the spy drama. As a result of installing Small Tree’s cost-effective storage technology, Bling Digital’s four-member team was on the case processing a few hundred gigabytes of Red Camera footage daily into a variety of formats for editorial and screening, enabling the company to meets its primary objective: client satisfaction…in record time.
