Imageworks

Location: Pasco, WA
Industry: Production and post-production
Working Environment: Final Cut

Specializing in branding, interactive, motion, photography and print projects,Imageworks develops 3D animation and hi-def video to provide innovative solutions to its diverse client-base.

CHALLENGE

Project completion was consistently delayed because Imageworks’ editing team was limited to two unconnected Final Cut editing suites.

SOLUTION

Under their old system, Imageworks was like a baseball team trying to play the field with half a squad. With the addition of Small Tree’s GraniteSTOR shared storage solution and unique OS X networking technology, Imageworks now has a full lineup of editors – working on the facility’s two main workstations as well as on MacBooks – with simultaneous access to the same materials.  The GraniteSTOR solution includes Small Tree’s PEG6, a 6-port Ethernet card and the Edge-corE ES4528V, a 28-port Gigabit Ethernet switch. As a result of the install, production has been increased substantially at Imageworks.

MAXIMIZING WORKFLOW

Small Tree is the Mac Networking Expert specializing in affordable Ethernet-based networking and shared storage products for the Media and Entertainment industry. Consisting of networking developers who have extensive experience in high performance computing, Small Tree’s team knows how to achieve the demanding application requirements of Mac customers.

Additionally, a number of the industry’s giants, including Apple and Intel, often look to Small Tree to support their existing technology.
